You need 60% in UG, First Division, 2 years of work experience, and a CGPA of 6.0 or above in the PG Diploma. If you don't meet these, you can still complete the PG Diploma, but you cannot progress to the M.Tech.

What is this program?
A 12-month, live online PG Diploma from IIT Jodhpur that brings AI/ML, Generative AI, and data science into data engineering. Eligible graduates can progress to an Executive M.Tech. in one more year.
What will I learn?
Four connected areas: AI-First Data Engineering, Generative AI and LLM Applications, Agentic AI Systems, and Cloud-Native AI Architecture.
Is the program hands-on?
Yes. You are assessed on what you build. Projects must run, and your capstone is reviewed by IIT Jodhpur faculty.
Who is eligible for the PG Diploma?
A BTech, BSc + MSc, BCA + MCA, or STEM degree with a minimum of 50% in UG or PG, and at least 1 year of work experience after your qualifying degree.
Who is eligible for the Executive M.Tech.?
A minimum of 60% in UG, First Division in UG or PG, and 2 years of work experience. In the PG Diploma, you need 75% attendance, no backlogs, a CGPA of 6.0 or above, 60% aggregate marks, and the Program Director's recommendation.
Is there an admission test?
Yes. All PG Diploma applicants must qualify a pre-screening test.
What is the admission process?
Apply, take the pre-screening test, and pay the ₹10,000 application processing fee. You then receive your offer letter from IIT Jodhpur, complete the payment, and finish the Futurense Bridge Course.
What is the program fee?
₹3,55,000 for Year 1 (course fee ₹3,35,000 + administrative fee ₹20,000). The Executive M.Tech. in Year 2 costs ₹2,40,000.
Is the application processing fee refundable?
It is fully refunded if IIT Jodhpur or Futurense does not accept your application. It is non-refundable if you withdraw after acceptance.

What is the refund policy?
No refunds are given after the last date of registration.
When does the program start, and how long is it?
The PG Diploma starts in January 2027 (tentative) and runs for 12 months across 2 semesters.
When are classes held?
Live online on Friday late evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays, with 10 to 15 live hours a week. The schedule is set by IIT Jodhpur.
What is the campus immersion?
A mandatory 5 to 7 day stay at IIT Jodhpur, where you present your capstone, attend classes and labs, and work with your cohort.
What will I build?
Systems such as a multi-agent financial intelligence system, a real-time sentiment engine for financial markets, and an agentic data pipeline with automated anomaly detection.
What tools will I use?
Python, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Amazon SageMaker, LangChain, LangGraph, Microsoft AutoGen, and more. Tools may vary depending on the subjects finalized.
What credential will I receive?
A PG Diploma in Data Engineering and Agentic AI from IIT Jodhpur, earned through 30 credits. It is an academic credential, not a certificate.
How does the M.Tech. pathway work?
If you meet the progression requirements, your 30 credits transfer to the Executive M.Tech. You complete 34 more in Year 2, without the GATE exam. For queries, write to office_eep@iitj.ac.in.
